RAZ RX 50K specs

The RX is the top of the sealed RAZ range. Every number below comes from the manufacturer's published sheet. Where they do not publish a figure, such as coil resistance, we leave it blank rather than guess.

The three things that separate the RX from every other RAZ disposable are the third power mode, the lock and the tank size. The 1000 mAh battery is the largest in the range, but do not read that as one charge per tank. A 20 mL plus tank outlasts any battery this size many times over. Plan on charging the RX regularly across its life, and use the screen rather than a feeling to know when.

Normal, Boost, Super Boost and the lock

The RX has one button and it does two jobs. A short press cycles the power mode. A long press locks or unlocks the device. That is the entire control scheme, and once you have done each once you will not think about it again.

Normal mode

Normal is where the 50,000 puff rating comes from. The draw is the coolest and lightest of the three. If your goal is to make the RX last as long as the box says, stay in Normal. Flavor is clear but not dense.

Boost mode

Boost warms the draw and thickens the vapor. It costs you roughly half the puff count, because each puff moves more liquid. It also drains the battery faster per puff. Many customers use Boost the way people use the LTX's Boost: a few draws at a time, then back to Normal.

Super Boost mode

Super Boost is the hottest, densest setting. You are down to about 40% of the rated count if you live there. It is the setting for someone who finds even Boost too light, and who accepts that the tank will finish in well under half the time. The screen shows which mode is active, so you will never be unsure which one you are in.

The lock

Hold the button and the RX locks. Hold it again and it unlocks. The lock exists because a device with a mode button that rides in a pocket or a bag will get pressed, and you would otherwise pull it out to find it has quietly switched to Super Boost and eaten a chunk of your liquid. Lock it when you put it away. The RX is the only RAZ disposable with a lock; the LTX and TN9000 do not have one, and the RYL has no button at all.

Whichever mode you choose, all RAZ devices are draw-activated. There is no fire button. A rapid triple-press power-cycles the screen if it ever seems stuck. Our RAZ vape manual page has the button behavior for every model side by side if you switch between them.

Batch flavors and Code flavors explained

The RX 50K Dew Edition uses a naming scheme unlike any other RAZ device, and it confuses people badly enough that we get emails about it. Here it is in plain terms.

Batch flavors

Batch flavors are the Dew Edition mainline. They are named after the fruit and carry the word Batch at the end: Blue Razz Batch, Lemon Batch, Triple Berry Batch, Watermelon Batch, White Peach Batch. The taste is what the name says. Blue Razz Batch is blue raspberry. Lemon Batch is lemon. Triple Berry Batch is a three-berry mix. If you know what you like from the LTX menu, the RAZ RX Batch flavors are the easy translation.

Code flavors

Code flavors are named by color: Code Blue, Code Green, Code Pink, Code Red, Code White. Each is a color-coded Dew Edition profile. The manufacturer does not publish a fruit breakdown for them, and we will not invent one. If someone asks us what the Code Green RAZ flavor tastes like, the honest answer is that it is a color-coded Dew Edition profile, and that the color is the manufacturer's shorthand for the blend. The same goes for the RAZ Code Pink flavor and the rest. People who like the Code series tend to try two and settle on one, the same way they would with an unlabeled soda flavor.

The Code confusion, cleared up

Code Green, Code Pink and the others are flavor names. They are not verification codes. Every RAZ box has a scratch-off authentication code inside the flap, and that code is a string of characters you enter on the manufacturer's verification page. It is not the words Code Green. We have had customers scratch the flap, see a string of characters, and then search for whether their Code Red matches a real code. It does not work that way. The flavor name is printed on the box front; the verification code is under the scratch panel inside. One more naming note. The correct model name is RAZ RX 50K, sometimes written RX50K Dew Edition on packaging and listings. RAZ does not make a 12K, a 30K or any other number that is not in the lineup, so a box claiming a different RX rating is not a RAZ product line that exists.

If you are choosing between the two families, a Batch flavor is the lower-risk first buy because you know what it will taste like from the name. A Code flavor is a better second buy once you already know you like the RX hardware. The price is the same for both families and every flavor on this page.

A word on cooling. The RX Dew Edition names do not carry Ice, Frozen or Sour tags the way the LTX menu does. If heavy menthol is what you want, the LTX Frozen series is the RAZ answer, not the RX. If you want a large sealed device and can live without a menthol tag, the RX is the one.

Charging the RX across a long life

The RX has the biggest battery in the RAZ disposable range and the biggest tank, and the ratio between them means you will charge it more times than any other sealed RAZ before it is finished. That is not a flaw; it is arithmetic. A 1000 mAh cell does not push 20 mL plus of liquid on one charge on any device from any brand.

Cable, block, time

Use any standard USB-C cable and a normal 5V block. Nothing ships in the box. From low to full takes about 90 minutes. The screen shows a charging percentage while plugged in. Fast-charge bricks do not speed it up and they run the cell hot, so use an older phone block or a laptop port. If nothing lights when you connect it, swap the cable first. Mode and battery drain

Battery per puff climbs from Normal to Boost to Super Boost. If you notice the RX asking for a charge much more often than it used to, check the mode indicator on the screen before assuming the battery has degraded. A bag-press into Super Boost is the usual explanation. Lock the device when you put it away and the problem disappears.

Two gauges, two clocks

The screen shows battery and liquid separately. Battery goes up and down. Liquid only goes down. When the liquid readout hits zero, the RX is finished, regardless of how much charge is left. It cannot be refilled. A burnt taste near the end almost always means the liquid is nearly gone, and in Boost or Super Boost you reach that point sooner. If the device stops hitting with liquid still showing, run the usual checks: 30 minutes on a known-good cable, confirm it is not locked, triple-press to power-cycle. Storage

Upright, room temperature, mouthpiece up. A hot car or face-down storage is what makes sealed disposables weep at the mouthpiece. The RX is no different from the LTX in this respect.

RX 50K vs VUE 50K: sealed vs pod-swap

RAZ sells two devices with a 50,000 puff rating and they could hardly be more different in how they work. This is the comparison to read before you buy either.

Choose the RX if you want the simplest possible experience with the most control over the draw: three modes, a lock, one big tank, nothing to snap on or off. It is also the pick if you never want to think about buying pods. When it is done, you buy another RX or something else.

Choose the RAZ VUE 50K if the idea of throwing away a working 1000 mAh battery every time bothers you, or if you want to switch flavors before a tank is finished. The VUE base stays, the pods come and go, and the RAZ VUE pods are sold singly so you replace only what you used. The VUE has no modes and no lock, and the base is not a power bank despite what the searches suggest. On running cost the two approaches diverge over time: the RX is one purchase per 50,000 puffs, the VUE is one kit and then pods. Which works out better depends on how long you keep the base.
